Raise with any 6-2 or better.
Fold any 4-4, any one-card 8, or any hand with no 8.
With a 5-3, raise if the other two cards are:
  A-A, 7-7, 6-6, 2-2, or 9-7, 9-2, 6-A, 7-2.
Otherwise fold.

Pay tables from BMM Testlabs report GDG10021_E (31 May 2023). Main game house edge 2.60% of total action (4.37% of the Bet) with this strategy. Poker 8.39%, No Eight 6.57%, The Hit 7.63% (Paytable 1) or 7.29% (Paytable 2). Paytable 1's top award is "300 for 1", which means 299 to 1 plus your stake back.

1. The deck has 36 cards: Ace through Nine in four suits. Aces count 1, and every other card counts its number.
2. Place a BET in the top of the gold 8 ($5 minimum). You can also add any of three side bets: Poker, No Eight and The Hit. Then tap DEAL.
3. You get the four cards on the bottom row; the dealer's four cards are face down on the top row. The sign shows The Hit's three hands (two, three and four cards), each with a total that ends in 8.
4. Your hand is any one to four of your cards whose total ends in 8: 8, 18 or 28. A higher total wins, then more cards, then higher cards. The game picks your best hand and lights it up.
5. Tap FOLD (you lose the Bet) or RAISE (you add a Raise equal to the Bet, placed in the bottom of the 8).
6. The dealer needs at least a two-card Eight to qualify. If the dealer doesn't qualify, your Bet pays 1 to 1 and the Raise pushes. If the dealer qualifies, the better hand wins both at 1 to 1, and a tie pushes.
7. Side bets always settle, even if you fold or the dealer doesn't qualify. Poker pays on your four cards as a poker hand. No Eight pays 7 to 1 when you have no total ending in 8. The Hit pays when two, three or all four of your cards match one of the displayed hands, by rank or by rank and suit.
8. Tap DEAL again to play the next round with the same bets, or change them first. REBET repeats your last bets; CLEAR removes them.
